10 years makes a big difference…
With the news of Osama’s death, is been so long since I have heard people chanting “USA” with such enthusiasm and patriotism. And the streets of Hollywood were full of that tonight.
And it gets me thinking, what happened in the last ten years? It really took our country almost ten years to come together. There has not been a positive event other than sports to bring everyone alike with pride.
But taking a closer look, exactly ten years ago and today seems like history is repeating itself:
- an unpopular president gets a spiked in approval ratings due to an Al-Qaeda event.
- bad economic recession .
- Apple releases something called iTunes and iPod.
- a shitty film titled The Fast and the Furious is the number one box office film for Universal Studios that year.
